One morning during the office hours as I was running some errands I recieved an intimation from the head of a Team PC (Principal Consultant) and had to meet him for an important discussion. At the first place yes I had no idea what will the discussion be about as it is always a usual thing that for any discussion there would be background of something or the other. However the discussion turns out to be interesting and it appeared awesome to me, as our PC mentioned the catching line " Connecting the unconnected " I questioned him what is it about?? He explained the entire idea in details and yes of course motivated by the idea and the best part is that I am included in the process.
As we all know communication is an important aspect , the line mentioned brings in huge change in communication aspects. I am glad that I am a part of a CSR project where in the aim is about giving internet connection facilities for the remotest part of a district ( so thats the phrase "connecting the unconnected").
We were assigned the part where we had to visit the site and to mentioned I had no idea about it but yes the area is beautiful and pretty close to the Bangladesh border. Well the idea of visiting the place for inspection was a huge treat to me the reason is an off day from office hahahahhahha ( yes of course did perform the duties assigned to me no doubt).
Well then on the 26th August 2014 we headed for the site in the morning with the team members and the equipments as we travel towards Sohra Cherrapunjee ( since the area is towards Sohra) the sight of the natural beauty the air and the mist floating on the horizon just looks awesome and yes since it is a rainy season the entire scene is just great. Driving against the heavy fog on the road it is an all together a great experience and of course risky too hahahahh risky because on one side of the road it is a hill and the other its a deep valley. We halted at Sohra for an inspection and site survey later we proceeded towards Mawlong taking the points at each identified site. On the way yes the roads no doubt are pretty bad and risky with the debris because of the landslide. Apart from all these the natural beauty is a huge substitution although the drive was bumpy and tiring but the view itself just takes out your tiredness. As we proceed ahead, on the horizon from the road on a hill top there is a panoramic view of Bangladesh side and some parts completely under water, a friend asked why it is all water I told him all the water from Meghalaya flows down to Bangladesh hahahah......( you know all the water)hahahah. The view yes its beautiful, the temperature was humid as such I guess because of the Bangladeshi effect hahahah, however going further we could see the thin white hairy silky like line from a far distance falling in a slow motion like and yes my eyes are locked to the sight and excited to find out I did take a pic of it from my phone's camera as we reach close by to my surprised its a huge waterfall stair like, amazing water fall its the 7th highest water fall in India I never knew that we do have such beautiful falls , I was so excited and happy the sight of the waterfall has made my day we came this far and to the remotest place and to see this view, wow its just amazing. We halted for about an hour taking snaps etc you know what will people do when you are in such place and of course FB, Twitter all the Social media etc profile pics after profile pics hahahah.....(sounded girlish though)hahahha.
well coming back to work yes we visited the site took the points and identified the spots for connectivity and headed back to the pavillion.
The point to ponder is that we have such beautiful creations in our planet earth the nature is itself a greatest creation we really ought to and it is our priority to keep it safe.
what an amazing trip and site
My team member ended it with a statement " One shot two blows" the CSR activity was the shot , the site survey and the site seeing were the blows.
