Our journey meeting Susie and her German Food

Celebrating Christmas and New Year is just an awesome feeling here at your own home town, i am sure nothing can beat that joy and happiness of enjoying the fun, food and music. Looking at the past few years, I recollect the memories of spending the festive season as a kid then to an adolescent and to the later stage of being an adult, each phase of time has its own joy and fun. I should say I am privilege and lucky enough to spend it at my hometown this year again and this time with my one and only very special soulmate my fiancee. It was a beautiful time to have spent the entire time together at a serene place at Mawphlang Sacred Grove, it was a memorable time, of course music and people dancing to the tunes of Hip Hop, house and dance club music were seen in the vicinity of the area as they were preparing in celebrating the New Year's eve.

The visit to the Mawphlang sacred Grove was a random decision by both of us, we were not sure how would it be but yes indeed the anticipation of a good time kept our hopes high and indeed it turn out to be good and fun. On the way to Mawphlang at Mawkriah  we had seen a billboard sign Susie's restaurant which specialises in German dish, I told my Fiancee we shall try out the food at the restaurant while returning.

As the sun begin to set down and the evening nearing and opening the night for the new year celebration for everyone, we set out our return back to our home. On the way we stopped and parked our vehicle close to Susie's restaurant and made our way inside the place. Few folks were seen relishing the food and we could see the owner busy at the kitchen and giving instructions to the workers,it was surprising to see few German dishes being kept at the display and of course our eyes were not seeing anything else but the mouth watering Chicken and Pork German dishes. I remembered one of the worker was the owner's nephew he was instructed by his aunty  Bah duh go and clean up the table for the customers  hahahah  and that too with a screechy old woman's voice,

my fiancee told me the old lady was so funny  hahah.... I said to my fiancee  old ladies as usual hahahahah

We saw the menu and giving a quick look at the food items available and on the list and of course the German dishes were listed we decided to try out pork items and also as my fiancee favourite is pork , we ordered German Pork Meat, trust me the item was really a special preparation and its worth trying, both of us relished to the taste of the Pork and along with the pork we had ordered for french fries perfect for the both of us, sooner we again ordered for another Pork Item and that was  Pork Schnitzel again a perfect preparation and trust me with the local pork meat the taste it is even more better. There was a slight disappointment with the bread we had expected for a genuine German Bread but however the local bread slice did the substitution but nevertheless that was not a problem because all we wanted to taste is the genuine German Pork dishes. We did enjoyed the meal and of course that was our dinner hahahahah.

We requested for the bill and to our surprise it was a reasonable bill amount and I am sure anybody who wishes to try out the German dish will really enjoy it  is indeed value for money and worth spending. As we made the payment , the old lady at the counter said is this the first time for the both of you we said yes and further enquired did you enjoy the food, we said with an overwhelmed feeling we really enjoyed.....she smiled and replied back do come again. As we  set ourselves to move out we bade good bye and wished the old lady Happy New year and left the restaurant.

For a moment I thought to myself wow what a day ,a day beautifully spent with your loved one. and to have a German taste at our own home town in a beautiful county side there is nothing as such like it.

Of course to my Fiancée my soulmate the fun and enjoyment would have not been more amazing without you besides me thank you my love for giving and sharing such a wonderful time and yes indeed many more journey and many more exploration to come  ....hahah yet to come....
